Funmi Unstoppable Features Maureen Paul on Heartfelt Worship Song “Idi Ebube”
Gospel music minister and songwriter Funmi Unstoppable has teamed up with Maureen Paul for “Idi Ebube,” a heartfelt worship song celebrating God’s greatness, the finished work of Jesus Christ and the strength found in worship.
The title “Idi Ebube,” meaning “You Are Great,” expresses reverence for God’s majesty and faithfulness, but the song also carries a deeply personal story.
According to Funmi Unstoppable, “Idi Ebube” was birthed in 2024 during one of the most difficult periods of her life as she prepared to bid her father a final farewell. In the midst of grief and emotional pain, she found herself spontaneously singing the words in Igbo.
What began during a moment of brokenness gradually developed into a worship song centred on the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary and the assurance found in His sacrifice.
Rather than allowing grief to become the focus, “Idi Ebube” turns attention towards God’s unchanging greatness. The song reminds believers that difficult circumstances do not diminish His faithfulness and that worship can remain an expression of trust even when words are difficult to find.
Joined by Maureen Paul, Funmi delivers a message of surrender, gratitude and hope while reflecting on the strength God provides during seasons of weakness.
“Idi Ebube” ultimately serves as Funmi Unstoppable’s personal testimony of moving through grief while holding on to faith—a reminder that God remains worthy of worship through both joyful and painful seasons.
The song is available on digital platforms alongside its official music video.
