The Story Behind the Song
The inspiration for “Jesus Has Done Me Well” came while Cynthia was attending Azusa in Nairobi, Kenya. After one of the services, deeply moved by teachings on the death, resurrection, and power in the name of Jesus, she found herself in her hotel room reflecting—and writing.
At the time, her son had been suffering from a knee injury. He’d visited an orthopedic hospital and was advised to wear a brace. But after the powerful revelations at Azusa, Cynthia called him and asked, “Do you believe Jesus can heal you?” He replied confidently, “Yes.” She instructed him to remove the brace and declare healing in the name of Jesus.
“By the finished work of Christ on the cross, you are healed.”
Her son shouted “Amen!”—and from that moment, all pain vanished. He was completely healed.
